Education Built on Respect for Where You Are in Life

Kasih Finance was founded on the belief that financial education should meet people where they are.

Our Story

Kasih Finance came together in Petaling Jaya in 2017 when a small group of educators and financial practitioners noticed the same gap. Working adults in their forties and fifties were navigating some of the most consequential financial decisions of their lives with very little structured support.

Retirement was approaching. Children were heading to university, sometimes overseas. Ageing parents needed support. And all around, the stories of Malaysians losing savings to scams were becoming harder to ignore. Existing financial education content was either too basic or too product-focused.

The founders chose a different path: a centre that educates without selling, that respects the life experience its participants bring into every room, and that keeps its content grounded in Malaysian realities.

The name Kasih โ€” meaning love and care in Malay โ€” was chosen deliberately. It reflects the organisation's relationship with its participants: not one of transaction, but of genuine investment in their wellbeing and informed decision-making.

Since 2017, Kasih Finance has facilitated over 1,200 individual course participants across its three programme areas. The centre operates from its Tropicana office in Petaling Jaya and welcomes both in-person and hybrid cohort participants from across the Klang Valley and beyond.

Our mission remains unchanged: to give Malaysians 40 and above the knowledge and clarity they need to approach their financial lives with confidence.

Financial Literacy in Malaysia

Malaysia's financial landscape has changed substantially over the past two decades. EPF reforms, rising healthcare costs, currency fluctuation, and a sustained wave of investment and phone scams have created an environment where financial knowledge is a practical necessity, particularly for those approaching the second half of their working lives.

Kasih Finance addresses this directly. Our workshops and courses are not corporate training programmes or academic syllabi. They are practical, structured conversations about real decisions โ€” when to consider foreign currency savings, how to structure a will in Malaysia, which scam red flags appear most often in Klang Valley communities, and how retirement income can be designed to last.

Participants leave with a clearer picture of where they stand and what their options are. That clarity, built through thoughtful education, is the foundation of everything Kasih Finance does.
